Wondering if you’re in a dead-end job? Thinking of switching to a new career field? With so many changes being flung at us due to new technologies, new economies, and new lifestyle priorities, the beginning of the new decade is a perfect time to polish up your crystal ball. 

What? You don’t have one? Well maybe this chart forecasting the future employment trends of various industries is a good substitute.

It appears that blue-collar work is disappearing while service industries will continue to grow. Career fields predicted to shrink include: manufacturing; automobile dealerships; and telecommunications. Fields with significant job growth predicted include: professional & business services; education, health & social services; and management, scientific & technical consulting services.
