My name is Carla Bosteder and I own this blog. I’m not the biggest fan of blogging, but I am a HUGE fan of helping others.
Many years ago, I worked in the Career Planning and Placement center at Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville) while working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Business. At that time, I got my first glimpse of what would become a way of life for me.
Since then, I have worked in human resource positions in a variety of companies and I have written a book about resume writing which has become a delightful hit. Each step along my career path has brought me closer to where I am today. Now, I have a successful web presence that allows me to pursue my dreams while being able to help others achieve their dreams.
This blog is a part of that web presence. It is intended to help you find/succeed in your career and enjoy happiness and financial security at the same time. In an effort to assist you in these processes, I plan to post content that will offer information, guidance, support, techniques and valuable data. I’m not a guru, just a persistent career specialist with a passion… helping others and earning and income at the same time.
We should all be able to live out our passions and make money at the same time, don’t you agree?
I don’t know what your goals are. Only you know that. What I do know is that you already have what it takes to be successful. You can make an impact on the world around you – and reap the rewards of your own success at the same time.
Start by focusing on what you do well. Then take an inventory of what you have succeeded in accomplishing in the past. Write it all down. This is the start of your Victory Journal. Keep track of your successes. Each time you need to do something scary – take yourself out of your comfort zone – read this journal. Look at what you have done before. I’ll talk more about this in my blog posts. For now… just know that you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to doing.

I was wondering if you accept guest posts on Best Career Strategies Blog?
I’m part of a business that does high-end brand placements worked into guest posts on a variety of subjects. My posts don’t advocate or review our clients, rather they are well written informational and/or newsy posts that your blog followers will find interesting. The articles are between 350 to 800 words in length, of unique content that will only be published on your blog, and includes one do-follow reference link to one of our clients, (none of whom relate to the no-no categories like Pills, Poker, & Porn).
If you don’t accept guest posts I also can make deals for sponsored articles that you’d be compensated for and have complete editorial control over. The article guidelines are similar to what’s mentioned above. After we submit the article, you retain complete editorial control of the article and can make any edits necessary before publishing it.
